Description
As the on-site architect for a 500,000 sq. ft. expansion and remodel of the existing mall, Field Architectural Corporation was responsible for the implementation of the construction documents in the field including the demolition of a 68,000 sq. ft. anchor, utility relocation, construction of a 64,000 sq. ft. AMC Theater, 10,000 sq. ft. Borders Book Store, and 72,000 sq. ft. food court over a 140,000 sq. ft. Target, the construction of a three story parking structure with parking on top of the mall retail shops, and the installation of a 4,000 sq. ft. retail pad.

Scope of work
Included submitting documentation and permit acquisition from National City Planning, Building, and Engineering. To oversee structural, civil, landscape, irrigation design, and worked with utility companies for review and approval of utilities.

Description
Operating as a supporting member of the construction team, Field Architectural Corporation coordinated with tenants and owner contractors during construction administration and maintaining construction documents throughout the project including providing weekly owner status meetings, by-weekly city status meetings, review and process contractor shop drawings, document and issue owner change to contractor, building department, and city inspector, respond to contractor requests for information within 24 hours, prepared county health submittal packages and responded to comments as required to obtain permits for a tray wash kitchen, wet and dry storage, performed punch list site visit, issued letter of substantial completion, and provided record drawings to the building department incorporating all changes issued by the architect.
